when he was baptized, went up straightway out
of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened
unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God
descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:
And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my
beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Matt
3:16-17
And Jesus
came and spake unto them, saying, All power is
given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye
therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing
them in the name of the Father, and of the
Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to
observe all things whatsoever I have commanded
you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto
the end of the world. Amen. Matthew 28:18-20

went out unto him all the land of Judaea, and

opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending
upon him: And there came a voice from heaven,
saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am
well pleased. Mark 1:9-11

commanded the chariot to stand still: and they
went down both into the water, both Philip and

saw him no more: and he went on his way
rejoicing. Acts 8:38-39
And a certain woman named Lydia, a seller
of purple, of the city of Thyatira, which
worshipped God, heard us: whose heart the Lord
opened, that she attended unto the things
which were spoken of Paul. And when she was
baptized, and her household, she besought us,
saying, If ye have judged me to be faithful to
the Lord, come into my house, and abide there.
And she constrained us. Acts 16:14-15

at Corinth, Paul having passed through the
upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding
certain disciples, He said unto them, Have ye

heard whether there be any Holy Ghost. And he
said unto them, Unto what then were ye
baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.

Know ye not, that so many of us as were
baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into
his death? Therefore we are buried with him by
baptism into death: that like as Christ was
raised up from the dead by the glory of the
Father, even so we also should walk in newness
of life. Romans 6:3-4There is one body, and
one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope
of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one
baptism, One God and Father of all, who is
above all, and through all, and in you all.
Ephesians 4:4-6
The like figure whereunto even baptism doth
also now save us (not the putting away of the
filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good
conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of
Jesus Christ: Who is gone into heaven, and is
on the right hand of God; angels and
authorities and powers being made subject unto
him. 1 Peter 3:21-22 |
