| Boasting in
the Lord and Boldness in the Lord
Old
Testament
I will bless
the LORD at all times: his praise shall
continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make
her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear
thereof, and be glad. Psalms 34:1-2
In God we boast all the day long, and praise
thy name for ever. Selah. Psalms 44:8
New
Testament
To the
intent that now unto the principalities and
powers in heavenly places might be known by
the church the manifold wisdom of God,
According to the eternal purpose which he
purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord: In whom we
have boldness and access with confidence by
the faith of him. Wherefore I desire that ye
faint not at my tribulations for you, which is
your glory. Ephesians 3:10-13
Seeing then
that we have a great high priest, that is
passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God,
let us hold fast our profession. For we have
not an high priest which cannot be touched
with the feeling of our infirmities; but was
in all points tempted like as we are, yet
without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto
the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy,
and find grace to help in time of need.
Hebrews 4:14-16
Herein is our love made perfect, that we may
have boldness in the day of judgment: because
as he is, so are we in this world. 1st John
