Testament
Lo, children are an heritage
of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his
reward. Psalms 127:3
And these words, which I
command thee this day, shall be in thine
heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently
unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when
thou sittest in thine house, and when thou
walkest by the way, and when thou liest down,
and when thou risest up. Deuteronomy 6:6-7
Hear, ye children, the
instruction of a father, and attend to know
understanding. For I give you good doctrine,
forsake ye not my law. For I was my father's
son, tender and only beloved in the sight of
my mother. He taught me also, and said unto
me, Let thine heart retain my words: keep my
commandments, and live. Get wisdom, get
understanding: forget it not; neither decline
from the words of my mouth. Forsake her not,
and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she
shall keep thee. Proverbs 4:1-6
My son, keep thy father's
commandment, and forsake not the law of thy
mother: Bind them continually upon thine
heart, and tie them about thy neck. When thou
goest, it shall lead thee; when thou sleepest,
it shall keep thee; and when thou awakest, it
shall talk with thee. Proverbs 6:20-22
A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish
son is the heaviness of his mother. Proverbs
10:1

his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him
betimes. Proverbs 13:24
A fool despiseth his father's
instruction: but he that regardeth reproof is
prudent. Proverbs 15:5
A wise son maketh a glad
father: but a foolish man despiseth his
mother. Proverbs 15:20
Children's children are the
crown of old men; and the glory of children
are their fathers. Proverbs 17:6
Train up a child in the way he
should go; and when he is old, he will not
depart from it. Proverbs 22:6
Foolishness is bound in the
heart of a child; but the rod of correction
shall drive it far from him. Proverbs 22:15
Hearken unto thy father that begat thee, and
despise not thy mother when she is old.
Proverbs 23:22
The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child
left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.
Proverbs 29:15
"As for my people,
children are their oppressors, and women rule
over them. O my people, they which lead thee
cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy
paths." Isaiah 3:12
New
Testament
Children, obey your parents in
the Lord: for this is right. Honour thy father
and mother; (which is the first commandment
with promise;) That it may be well with thee,
and thou mayest live long on the earth. And,
ye fathers, provoke not your children to
wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and
admonition of the Lord. Ephesians 6:1-4
For if a man know not how to
rule his own house, how shall he take care of
the church of God? 1st Timothy 3:5
But if any provide not for his own, and
specially for those of his own house, he hath
denied the faith, and is worse than an
infidel. 1st Timothy, 5:8
