Rejoice in the LORD, O ye
righteous: for praise is comely for the
upright. Praise the LORD with harp: sing unto
him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten
strings. Sing unto him a new song; play
skilfully with a loud noise. For the word of
the LORD is right; and all his works are done
in truth. Psalms 33:1-4
My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I
will sing and give praise. Awake up, my glory;
awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake
early. I will praise thee, O Lord, among the
people: I will sing unto thee among the
nations. Psalms 57:7-9
Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands:
Sing forth the honour of his name: make his

Thou shalt increase my

Verily I say unto you, I will
drink no more of the fruit of the vine, until
that day that I drink it new in the kingdom of
God. And when they had sung an hymn, they went
out into the mount of Olives. Mark 14:25-26
Who, having received such a
charge, thrust them into the inner prison, and
made their feet fast in the stocks. And at
midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang
praises unto God: and the prisoners heard
them. And suddenly there was a great
earthquake, so that the foundations of the
prison were shaken: and immediately all the
doors were opened, and every one's bands were

and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus
Christ; Submitting yourselves one to another

Let the word of Christ dwell
in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and
admonishing one another in psalms and hymns
and spiritual songs, singing with grace in
your hearts to the Lord. And whatsoever ye do
in word or deed, do all in the name of the
