simplicity? and the scorners delight in their
scorning, and fools hate knowledge? Proverbs

thine heart; and lean not unto thine own
understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge
him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not
wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and
depart from evil. Proverbs 3:5-7
Wisdom is the principal thing;
therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting
get understanding. Proverbs 4:7
A foolish woman is
clamorous: she is simple, and knoweth nothing.
Proverbs 9:13

lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, is
a fool. Proverbs 10:18

destruction, and his lips are the snare of his
soul. Proverbs 18:7
It is an honour for a man to
cease from strife: but every fool will be
meddling. Proverbs 20:3
It is better to dwell in a
corner of the housetop, than with a brawling
woman in a wide house. Proverbs 21:9

with a contentious and an angry woman.
Proverbs 21:19
As a dog returneth to his vomit, so a fool
returneth to his folly. Proverbs 26:11
To every thing there is a
season, and a time to every purpose under the
heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die;
a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that
which is planted; A time to kill, and a time
to heal; a time to break down, and a time to
build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time
to cast away stones, and a time to gather
stones together; a time to embrace, and a time
to refrain from embracing;A time to get, and a
time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to
cast away;A time to rend, and a time to sew; a
time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A
time to love, and a time to hate; a time of
war, and a time of peace. Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
Wisdom strengtheneth the wise
more than ten mighty men which are in the
city. For there is not a just man upon earth,
that doeth good, and sinneth not. Also take no
heed unto all words that are spoken; lest thou
hear thy servant curse thee: For oftentimes
also thine own heart knoweth that thou thyself
likewise hast cursed others. All this have I
proved by wisdom: I said, I will be wise; but
it was far from me. Ecclesiastes 7:19-23
New
Testament
Be ye therefore perfect, even
as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
Matthew 5:48
No man can serve two masters: for either he
will hate the one, and love the other; or else
he will hold to the one, and despise the
other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Matthew
6:24
Then said Jesus to those Jews
which believed on him, If ye continue in my
word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye
shall know the truth, and the truth shall make
you free. John 8:31-32
Now this I say, that every one
of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos;
and I of Cephas; and I of Christ. Is Christ
divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were
ye baptized in the name of Paul? I thank God
that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and
Gaius; Lest any should say that I had baptized
in mine own name. 1 Corintians 1:12-15
When I was a child, I spake as
a child, I understood as a child, I thought as
a child: but when I became a man, I put away
childish things. 1st Corinthians 13:11
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for
whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also
reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of
the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth
to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life
everlasting. Galatians 6:7-8
Prove all things; hold fast
that which is good. 1st Thessalonians
5:21

little: but godliness is profitable unto all

is, and of that which is to come. 1st Timothy
4:8
But be ye doers of the word,
and not hearers only, deceiving your own
selves. James 1:22
Who is a wise man and endued
with knowledge among you? let him shew out of
a good conversation his works with meekness of
wisdom. But if ye have bitter envying and
strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not
against the truth. This wisdom descendeth not
from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
For where envying and strife is, there is
confusion and every evil work. But the wisdom
that is from above is first pure, then
peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated,
full of mercy and good fruits, without
partiality, and without hypocrisy.And the
fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of
them that make peace. James 3:13-18
Wisdom strengtheneth the wise
more than ten mighty men which are in the
city. For there is not a just man upon earth,
that doeth good, and sinneth not. Also take no
heed unto all words that are spoken; lest thou
hear thy servant curse thee: For oftentimes
also thine own heart knoweth that thou thyself
likewise hast cursed others. All this have I
proved by wisdom: I said, I will be wise; but
it was far from me. Ecclesiastes 7:19-23
